FSG delivers sixth new building Ro-Ro for SIEM

Flensburg, 14.03.2019; Today, Thursday, 14 March 2019, another Ro-Ro ship was handed over to SIEM at the Flensburger-Schiffbau-Gesellschaft and will leave the shipyard on Monday. This is the sixth RoRo ship that FSG has delivered to SIEM and is identical in construction to the sister ship “ALF POLLAK”.

The “MARIA GRAZIA ONORATO” will be chartered out to Moby Lines Europe and deployed in the Mediterranean area on the routes to and from Sardinia and Sicily. Together with its sister ship “ALF POLLAK”, this will be amongst the newest and most modern RoRo ferries in the Mediterranean area, accommodating up to 310 semi-trailers and has a capacity of 4076 lane metres.

The main parameters of the new Ro-Ro ferry:

FSG is also currently building another 2 of this series of RoRo`s for SIEM, delivering in 2019 and 2020.

Reorganisation of FSG

Flensburg, 12.02.2019;  Siem Europe S.a r.l. (“Siem Europe”) yesterday signed an agreement with an external investor. In this agreement, Sapinda Holding B.V., agreed to purchase 76% of the shares of the business of Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft mbH & Co. KG.

This investment and the already announced management changes will ensure the continuation of FSG’s business operations.

Siem Europe remains an active shareholder and holds the majority of the Supervisory Board of FSG.

Thanks to the support of all parties involved, including customers and suppliers, this transaction was made possible.

Naming and Launching Hull NO. 775 May 03, 2018

Today, Thursday, 03.05.2018, the Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft named and
launched the first of two RoRo ships for the SIEM Group, which will charter out the
vessel on long term bareboat charter.
The “Alf Pollak” will be delivered in October 2018 and is chartered by the Italian
shipping company ONORATO Armatori.
The two ships operated in the Mediterranean on routes to and from Sardinia and
Sicily. They are the largest RoRo ships in the Mediterranean, as they can carry up to
310 semi-trailers
The FSG is known for its innovative designs both in terms of fuel consumption and
transport efficiency. The ship, which was launched today, reflects the shipyard’s great
experience with this type of ship and has the following dimensions:

FSG strengthens Management

 

FotoEffective July 1, 2016, Mr. Rüdiger Fuchs will be appointed as CEO of Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft mbH & Co. KG (FSG).

Mr. Fuchs brings with him a wide experience from different transportation industries (aerospace and defence, shipbuilding and offshore supply, automotive and railway supply). Mr. Fuchs has a degree in Aerospace Engineering.

Mr. Fuchs will continue the course of FSG, which has been set by the Siem Group after the take-over in October 2014 and will work together with Mr. Alex Gregg-Smith, who will stay in Flensburg for some months in order to ensure a smooth handover.
