Effective July 1, 2016, Mr. Rüdiger Fuchs will be appointed as CEO of Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft mbH & Co. KG (FSG). Mr. Fuchs brings with him a wide experience from different transportation industries (aerospace and defence, shipbuilding and offshore supply, automotive and railway supply). Mr. Fuchs has a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Mr. Fuchs will continue the course of FSG, which has been set by the Siem Group after the take-over in October 2014 and will work together with Mr. Alex Gregg-Smith, who will stay in Flensburg for some months in order to ensure a smooth handover.
Irish Ferries orders new RoPax at Flensburger
Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG), a subsidiary of Siem Group, has entered into a shipbuilding contract for one Ropax ferry with Irish Continental Group (ICG). ICG operates a number of ferry routes out of Dublin and Rosslare through its subsidiary Irish Ferries. The vessel will have a 194.80 m length overall and 31.6 m beam with a cargo capacity of 2,800 lane meters and an additional dedicated car deck for 300 cars. Two RoRo vessels for EKOL Group
Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG) has recently entered into a shipbuilding contract with a subsidiary of Siem Group for the construction of two RoRo vessels with 209.79 m length overall and 4,100 lane meters of cargo capacity, building numbers 769 and 770. The vessels will be operated by Alternative Tasimacilik A.S., the shipping arm of Ekol Logistik A.S. from Istanbul, Turkey, under a bareboat charter deal with purchase obligation. The vessels will be named “MELEQ” and “FADIQ” and will be delivered in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

FSG wins order for two RoRo vessels
Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG) has entered into orders for building of two further RoRo vessels with the Siem Group. The Siem Group, who took over FSG in November 2014, will charter out the vessels on long terms bareboat charter to DFDS A/S. DFDS provides shipping and transport services in Europe, generating annual revenues of EUR 1.8bn. Modern RoPax ferry for Scottish Shipowner CMAL leaves FSG
Flensburg: After an entirely satisfactory test run the RoPax ferry “Loch Seaforth”, built for the Scottish owner Caledonian Maritime Assests Limited (CMAL), has left FSG today. Take over of FSG by Siem Industries Inc. has now been effected
Flensburg – The take over of Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG) by Siem Industries Inc., which was announced on September 25th this year, has today been executed. Peter Sierk, Managing Director of FSG, confirms: “I am very happy for our yard that the negotiations during the last weeks have affirmed the take over and have come to a positive result.
