Facts

The ship is a state-of-the-art, complex RoPax ferry built to carry up to 700 passengers and 143 cars, or 20 trucks. Due to the high-value, modern design and construction, the ferry is suitable for round-the-clock operation. Through the combination of diesel electrical – / and diesel mechanical propulsion, the highest possible redundancy has been achieved. The ship has an excellent sea keeping behaviour, especially designed for the rough sea states of the outer Hebrides, as well as low lifecycle costs in terms of fuel efficiency, maintenance costs and reliability.
